MELODY was built in 1982 for Home Lines for service out of New York. Following the demise of Hole Lines in 1989, she was transferred to Holland America Line and later Premier Cruises where she became STARSHIP ATLANTIC. In 1996 she was sold for $70,000,000 to MSC for operation in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. She remains with MSC today.
